Android 4.4 Kitkat for Micromax Canvas Phones?

Micromax has already given few updates for android version in past for their popular canvas phones. But after Android 4.2 version they haven’t given anything new. Google has already launched the kitkat version Android 4.4. So Android 4.2 is now old thing. But now there is some good news for Micromax phone users. They may receive new kitkat update in near future.

As per MMXNewsCaster, Micromax may soon release Android 4.4 kitkat version for their canvas series phones. This is something exciting news for all micromax phone users. As per this news the phone list is quite big enough which will get the Android kitkat update. Means many canvas series phones can get this new update.

This is still rumor, no official word yet from Micromax. But if this is true then it can bring good future for Micromax phones.

Now you will get option for changing notification drawer background. Here you can select custom image and then select the image you want to set as notification drawer background.

Make Status-bar and Notification Panel transparent in all android

In my previous article I have given detail about Xposed Installer. As per it after installing Xposed Installer you can download different Modules/Apps and using it you can do lot many system changes. So we can also make status bar and notification area transparent in our android phone with Gravity Box Module.

I have already explained how you can install XposedInstaller and different Modules in my previous article, you can refer it. So for this tweak you have to install Gravity Box module from the download section in the Xposed Installer. After installing just activate Gravity Box by checking it in Module section in Xposed Installer and click on install/update button from Framework section. You can refer my previous article from above given link if you have any query in installing.

Now after installing Gravity Box and activating it, open the app from menu of your phone.

How to transparent status-bar in any android?

•  In the app you will get different options, select Statusbar tweaks from it.
• Now in that section you will find out Transparency management option, click on it.
• In that section you will see two options for transparency, one for launcher and one for lockscreen. You can set any value you want as per transparency you want in particular area.
• That’s it. Just close the app, and you will notice that your status bar is transparent.

How to transparent Notification Panel/Area in any android?

• Same as above, first select Statusbar tweaks and then Notification drawer style from it.
• Now here you will get Background transparency option, set the value you want and you will get transparent notification area as per your selected values.

Different modules have different choices and features. I will explain different modules in details one by one in my next articles. But each of them has different functions and with them you can do lots of changes on your android phone and you can get functions like you get on custom ROM. So you can have experience of custom ROM with stock ROM with this app. Let me tell you how to install this app.

How to install Xposed Installer?

• Download app from this link: Download (you will found it in download section)
• After installing app open it and got to Framework, you will get below page.

• Now click on Install/Update button as shown in image and after few processes click on Soft reboot. (You must have rooted android phone for installing the framework otherwise it will not work)
• It’s done. Now Xposed Installer is installed on your phone.

Now you can move towards module section.

How to/Where to install modules for Xposed Installer?

• After installing Xposed Installer now go to Download section from the app.
• Here on the top you will found Xposed Installer app itself which you have already downloaded, but you can download future updates from their directly.

• After that on the list you will get all different kind of modules, just click on any one and you will found description regarding it.

• Now select any module you want to download and download it directly from the app. Just as above images.
• After it finished you will found that particular module in Modules section on the first page.

• Now just select (check it) that module from there and then again go to Framework section from first page and click on install/update button from it as mentioned above. After it again click on Soft Reboot button.

After phone reboots, it’s all done. You can use that module from the app menu of your android phone. You can install different modules and activate them using same method mentioned above from Xposed Installer. Now as I mentioned I will tell you about different modules and its functions in different articles one by one. So wait for my next articles and I will update the links below with its functions.

Play music together: Samsung’s Group Play kind of app for all Android

Samsung is having few very good apps on their smart phones. And one of them is Group Play which is really cool application for music lovers. Using it users can play single music in multiple phones together.

What is Group Play app? How it works?

Using Group Play we can share music and play same music on all devices together using wifi portable hotspot. It is not necessary that all phones having that music file, the phone which is having particular music can create portable hotspot and other devices can join it and then they all can play that music file together. So like this users can enjoy music in group and loudly with all those phone’s speakers. So it’s all magic of wifi portable hotspot.

Having Group Play kind of app on all android phones

Unfortunately this application does not work on all phones. Actually it only works on few limited Samsung phones for now. So it is not possible to have it on all android phones. But we are having one similar kind of application using it we can achieve the same thing what we can do with Samsung’s Group Play application.

One XDA developer has developed two applications which together can serve you same feature as Samsung’s Group Play. But unlike Samsung’s Group Play you have to install two applications for performing this task. Among them one app will create the wifi portable hotspot and work as actual player and other app will join that already created hotspot and work as speakers which will play that music files. So one app is for the phone which will share the music and other app is for other device which will play that music file by connecting wifi hotspot. Here are two apps.

Sound Seeder Player: This will share music over wifi hotspot

So users can download both apps. The one who want to share music over wifi hotspot will create wifi hotspot using Sound seeder player app and the people who want to use their phone as speakers will join that network using Sound Seeder Speaker app. That’s it.

So using this two applications you can do same task which offered by Samsung’s Group Play app. Only difference is that you have to download two applications to achieve this task unlike Samsung’s app. Well, this is not that hard task I guess, as you can have great feature for free. Missing items in IOS 7 Control Center

IOS 7 just got introduced by Apple and for me it is working really well. Some people criticize about the icons design and all that but let me tell you personally I enjoyed it. I like the Control Center feature most in this new version. But still it can get improved in next updates. May be I am comparing it with Android features but there is nothing wrong in comparing in this section. IOS 7 Control Center is having toggles like wifi, Bluetooth and many other options like accessing music from it which is really cool, but still they are missing few important functions in this area.

Missing thing in Control Center

Data Connection and 3G: Well just like android phone we should get option for switching on and off data connection and 3G. Right now we have to go deep into settings for the same thing which is little inconvenient. So in next update Apple can provide this stuff.

GPS toggle: Similar to Data connection they should also give GPS toggle button so that user can directly operate GPS from control center.

 Changing Wallpaper: Well there should be some shortcut option to change the wallpaper of the phone. Right now we having no shortcut option, we have to go deep into setting to choose wallpaper. So it would be great if we can have some shortcut option just like we have on android.

So this is it. Actually Control Center is the feature I like most in this latest IOS version. But still it look incomplete without some of above functions. So it would be great if Apple can provide the missing features in next update. Well, I know more option can occupy more space, but we can always have more functions with swiping function, so with that we can have all those functions in one row itself.

First experience with IOS 7

Just yesterday Apple has launched IOS 7 for free publically. I am sure lots of users have gone through this update. Even I have installed this latest IOS version on my iPhone 4S. Let me tell you this new IOS 7 is quite big in size. I have downloaded around 1.2GB file for this new version. But it is surely worthy.

As per my first experience, it almost looks like themed (colorful) version of previous IOS version. Yes you will not found many big differences from the old version except its lookBut that’s the plus point, I mean as features and usage is familiar we can soon get used to of it. Overall experience is wonderful and personally I liked it because of few important changes like control center. Let’s see what changes you will get in it.

Parallax Mode: With this new mode you will found your screen display (wallpaper) and icons are separately available. You will find out icons are moving when you will tilt you phone left right. You will get experience something like 3D.

Icons: You will surely found new and colorful icons of many apps.

Camera UI: Camera UI has much more improved with new features. Now you can easily switch to video and other modes just by swiping. You can capture in different color mode and also capture in panorama mode.

Airdrop: Now you can transfer file over wifi or Bluetooth on this latest IOS version.

New Lock Screen: Not much difference but now you can unlock your screen by swapping left to right anywhere on the screen. Just like previous version you can also access camera directly by swiping camera icon up.

Control Center: Now you can swipe up from bottom edge to get Control Center from where you can access different toggles and other features. You can control brightness of your device and music from the same place. Plus torch mode also included in this area.

Swipe to go back: Now going back to previous page is easy. I mean suppose you have open something from the setting window, now to come back to setting window you just need to swipe left to right. So this will make your experience fast and easy.

Multi tasking: Multi tasking is much more easy compare to before. Just press home button twice and you will entered in to multi tasking option from anywhere. To close opened apps from there you just need to swipe up that app’s window. So with this multitasking feature has been improved too.

Folder section improved: Now you can put more items in folder and you can swipe folder too like you do in home screen for putting more things in it.

 So this is it. Overall experience with this new IOS is just great. If you are not jailbreak lover then you can go for this update without a doubt. Jailbreak of this version is yet not available and it can take time. If you are okay without it then go for it.

Solution: Reset jailbreak iPhone

Just few days back one of my friend purchased the second hand iPhone which was jailbreak. He was trying hard to reset his iPhone so that he can get fresh phone with no data of previous user. But unfortunately he wasn’t able to reset the iPhone because of some unknown reason. He was just getting white circle after pressing reset button from the settings. He told me about it and I searched on internet and found that we can’t easily or normally reset the jailbreak iphone. So I tried to find out some solution for it. And fortunately I found really cool way for the same problem.

Requirements for resetting jailbreak iPhone

• A computer with windows operating system
• USB cable to connect your iPhone with computer
• A simple application (mentioned below)
• Your time (around 15 to 20 maximum)

Process of resetting jailbreak iPhone

For resetting your jailbreak iPhone you need Semi Restore application. You can download it on your windows operating system. Just download the small sized application and run it. Attach your iPhone and that app will detect your iPhone in no time. Just press button for proceed and you will get your iPhone reset within few minutes (around 10 to 15 minutes). During process your iPhone may boot and restart multiple times, you don’t need worry about that as it is normal. I faced the same thing too. After process complete, your iPhone will ask you details like country and language which normally fresh iPhone asks. Complete that process and you will get restored/reset iphone with no application and user data, a fresh piece.

NOTE:- Let me tell you, you will not lose jailbreak status of your iPhone. You will found cydia icon even after reset. So this thing is even more cool and suitable for some users and of course not that good which don’t want jailbreak.

Canvas 4 Pre-Booking started without any detail

Micromax has started pre-booking for their latest handset canvas 4. Interesting thing is that they haven’t given any detail or specifications about canvas 4. They have started pre-booking thing even without disclosing exact amount of this new phone. They have only stated that buyers need to pay 5000 for pre-booking, rest of the amount buyer need to pay later when phone will be available.

So this is little weird. I mean who will go ahead for the pre-booking without knowing the phone specification and exact amount. Still if anyone wants to pre-book their canvas4 phone they can go to Micromax official site and book their phone. But let me tell you it is wise to wait till they disclose all detail about phone. No need to go for blind purchase.

Micromax Canvas 4 Arrived: Specifications

Micromax is having great time with their CANVAS series smart phone. Just today they have shown ad for CANVAS 4 on the TV. As per news Micromax will launch this phone on 28^th June and pre-booking for this phone will start from this date. So fans can expect another good gadget from them in low budget in compare of other big branded phones. Here is the ad/treasure available on the youtube.

It’s too short video yet to tell more about the phone. But from this we can expect a good designed phone for sure. Micromax CANVAS series has become famous because of good smart phones in low budget. So I am sure this phone will also come under good price tag as compare to features of other phones. Get widgets and camera on lock screen like jelly bean 4.2 on all android

I don’t know how many of you know about it. But the one who are using higher version of android jelly bean 4.2 should have known about it. In android 4.2 jelly bean version we can add widgets in lock screen directly, we also can access camera just by swapping lock screen from its corner. So far not all phones are having update of android 4.2 so we can’t have those features on older android version than that. But still I have one app using which you can have all those similar options in your lock screen with any android version.

You should have known about Go Launcher EX. By installing this launcher with Go Lockers you can have different kind of unique lock screens. So for getting feature I mentioned you have to install these couple of applications in your android. First install Go Launcher EX and then install Go Lockers. Now with Go Lockers lock screen you can have option of adding widgets and camera feature in your androids lock screen.

How enable widget mode and camera mode on your lock screen?

First install Go Lockers with Go Launcher EX and enable Go locker lock screen instead of normal.

Then go to Go Lockers setting and you will found option for enabling widgets in the lock screen. Just enable that option and it’s all done.

Now you should have able to swap your lock screen by swapping from its left and right corner. Swapping right will get the camera option as shown in image. And swapping left side you will get option for adding widgets on your lock screen just like android 4.2 version.
