Here is a checklist of the gadgets displayed in Consumer electronic show held in Las Vegas where they launched more than 27,000 new devices for the benefit of public. I have selected few of those displayed or launched and you may find useful for you.

Samsung Youm

The name sounds funny. But it’s a serious phone as far technology is concerned from Samsung. The screen of tablets and phones in this series are absolutely flexible and bendable. You only have to select as per your choice.

Huawei Ascend Mate

The specialty of this particular phone is its large size screen. Its screen size 6.1” with fully high dimensional display. This is almost like a tablet despite being a phone. The phone is too big and only available in Europe and China for the time being. The prices have not yet been declared but as per sources, it would be in high-end range.

Sony’s Xperia-Z

This phone would bring Sony back to capture some market share perhaps. With a wonderful screen and fast processor and the best feature, that it is fully waterproof and dust proof will make it unique as such. This phone is having full 5-inch HD display with 13 MP camera, so with that you can take crystal clear quality pictures.

Now a phone our own – Asha

Asha is a new hope for medium class user priced at only INR 3,499/ with features like-

Micromax is look like fastest growing company for selling Mobiles and Tablets in India. These days they are selling lots of smart phones and tablets with very less cost but with good quality in compare of other mobile companies. That’s why they are growing faster.

Camera: Camera will be the same. Rear Camera is having 8 MP with led flash light and front camera is having 0.3 mp. Result of its 8 mp rear camera is awesome and with HD display you will found those photos quality even better.

Video: You will able to play full HD videos on this phone with crystal clear quality.

Price: Micromax has annoced that this phone will be available at 15000 Rs. So with these much features this cost is really very low if we compare this phone with other big brand phones with same features.

Micromax hasn't revealed all features of this phone for now. But I will update all features when they will be available. So keep in touch. So in short this phone will going to rock the smart phone market in India. I am saying this because no other phone is giving these much big features in this low cost. And its previous version is already doing very well in the market, so I am sure this will do even more.

The bigger screen

Most companies are planning to enlarge the size of their smart phones, for instance the Black Berry-10 and Butterfly the flagship android phone of HTC are planning to launch in 5” size screen. Black Berry shall have a full keyboard while the Butterfly shall have it with full HD camera. Even Microsoft is coming with a phone named ‘Surface’ to stay in competition. Samsung is ready with Galaxy-4 a flexible phone that can easily be folded and kept in pocket. Galaxy-4 is also presenting it in 5” size and Sony too is bringing its Xperia in same size.

Next Play Station

Sony’s next play station would be its eighth gaming console which as per the company going to have almost doubles the speed than present play station. The play station with more than double the memory would be smaller, lighter and power efficient than present version.

Keyboard for your Apple

Then you have a physical key board ready to rock as you can connect it with your iPhone. Solo Matrix has decided to launch it soon that would be priced at Rs. 1600-1700 initially, maybe the prices go down, as few other companies are planning to launch such keyboards too.

Nokia Lumia-920 is here

Finally Nokia has its Lumia-920 in India in three colors yellow, black and white priced at Rs.36, 000 + which is going to be the biggest launch for the year so far. Nokia Lumia-920 with 4.5” screen an IPS TFT touch screen, dual core 1.5 Gigahertz processor with 1 GB RAM and 32 GB memory facility makes it unique in many ways. 8-mega pixel camera with Dual LED Flash makes it more attractive. The best part of the phone its OS that is based on MS Windows-8 based. The phone has already been launched on 10^th of January this year.

Imaginative gadgets - Fablet

This article is about imaginative gadgets will be available in future soon.

Although it sounds a bit impossible to imagine that gadgets especially phones can be folded and kept in pocket resizing them as per our choice but that is going to happen in near future because some of the mobile and tablet manufacturers have almost reached to the stage of launching such products. These products would be having flexible AMOLED screens, which could be folded like rubber with ease. These screens would be paper thin made of organic light emitting diodes (OLED)

 

The Fablet

What is Fablet! It is basically the hybrid version of mobile phone and tablet, which is generally bigger than a phone and smaller than a tablet with a screen size of 4.5” to 5.9” as compared to 3” in phones and 7-9” in tablets. The features of Fablet are becoming the center of attraction for youth, which is prompting companies to go for such gadgets to capture the maximum market share as soon as possible. I sincerely hope that Indian companies would keep the price within INR 10K range to capture the market rather easily as most branded companies have their products in the price range of INR 25K.

The trend of budget tablets started with Aakash-2 which produced quality at lower prices that pressurized other big companies to prices within the comfortable reach of public in general. This trend is prompting smaller companies to keep their products’ prices down and capture as much market as possible and in turn bigger companies are in the fray with launching new products with more features at matching prices however, the user is ultimate gainer.  

We can see that Indian market is full with low priced gadgets which even forced companies like Apple to launch its 7” device iPad Mini at a competitive price. There are other products with most advanced features like dual core processors, 3G, Video calling, Android, Jelly Bean OS, 3D gaming and quad core processing etc. Whatever the reason for such a competition in the market but the fact is that user is getting the maximum benefit.

Improve Sound quality of your Android Phone

Now as this change the sound driver of our phone, so it is always advisable to take back-up of your android system before trying it. I mean suppose if you don’t like the sound changes in your phone then you can restore your phone to normal state. Remember as it is downloading drivers removing app will not remove those drivers from your phone. So make sure you take back-up your device first.

Customize Notification Bar: Put application icons on it (without root)

Remove navigation/nav buttons from Ice cream Sandwich Android

This article is about removing navigation buttons with its alternative from the latest android versions. But let me tell you, you must have rooted android device to use this tweak.

New android version comes with the navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen which cut down the total screen from our android device. Well, thanks to the developers now we can remove those bottom buttons from Ice Cream Sandwich and above version of android if we don’t need them. With this tweak you can enjoy the full screen on your android device.

For removing this button you just need to download the Fullscreen Toggle V2 application. This application will remove those unnecessary buttons from the bottom of your android screen. Don’t worry with the same app you can regain those buttons without any problem, means this app will not permanently remove those navigation buttons. You can customize them anytime.

After installing this application you will found enable and disable nav bar (navigation bar/button) option in the app. Just click on disable the nav bar and reboot/restart your phone. When you phone will restart, you will not found those bottom buttons. You can retain them by enabling nav bar option and restarting your phone again.

Samsung’s S-3 Mini is knocking India’s doors

Even for no it would be launched in Indonesia and Vietnam first before coming to other Asian countries.

Samsung Galaxy mini has one of the most operating systems that would give its users a unique experience to use a smart phone and with screen size; four inch and super AMOLED display the experience of browsing would almost be like live. Therefore, if you are planning to buy a new phone it is advisable to wait for some time to give any of these two, a try for a better experience of music or browsing, as per your choice.

Apple’s i-Watch your new comfortable smart phone

Now there will not be need to carry your phone in your pocket any more whether you are going for a morning walk or for shopping with your family members. Apple has just announced it on a Chinese website about its new product i-Watch. According to the report this watch would be good to read and send SMS, chat and talk as well like a normal phone.

Smart watch for smart phone

• i-Watch with touch screen would be compatible with smart phone through Bluetooth
• The watch would be on vibration mode in case of an incoming message or call, which could be answered by pressing a button
• This watch would with a 1.5 inch screen having a glass coated with Indium Tin Oxide
• This watch would have the same IOS software like i-Pad or smart phone
• Consumers would have facility to download Apples software easily

Apple has plans to launch it by June this year because according to company’s plans this would be the best time for its launch as no other company has program to launch any such products during that time. Apple has collaborated with Intel the famous chip maker company to give competition to other big manufacturers like Google who are planning to launch Google Glass by next year. Although Sony has a similar product in the market but it has no option for conversation.

An American company is planning to launch a wristwatch with the brand name of Pebble early this year with facilities like Bluetooth connecting it with smart phone, which would make it able to read messages and use other applications. This wristwatch would have a unique facility to change skins and colors according to user’s dresses.

You can use these watches on your motor bike to keep an effective control on speed, use GPS facilities to control speed, direction and time. There is another feature in these watches, which would enable consumer to control volume by downloading music control applications.

How Nexus 10 is different?

Here comes the Nexus10 the most awaited 10” tablet from Google. Google has launched this device in coloration with Samsung, a most updated device that google most probably had apple in mind who have just launched their fourth generation iPad in the market. This must be interesting to compare the features of specifications for the benefit of users to help them decide their specific needs in this particular item, here are a few details-

If the quality of screen resolutions- Nexus10 compared with that of apple’ retina  display quality, Nexus10 is far superior as Nexus10 with 2560x1600 compared to apple’s 2048x1536 with screen size of 9.7” stands at 264. If you calculate their per inch value the Nexus10 stands far better making the resolution value at almost 300pixel/inch.

Processor- Nexus10 with Samsung made Dual core 1.7 GHz exynos processor with quad core ARMT604 graphic processor designed for architecture and visual computing.

RAM- Nexus10 has 2GB RAM but the RAM of apple’s iPad4 is still a secret but most people assume it to be of 1GB. That makes Nexus better as far processing speed is concerned.

Size- iPad 4 is available in 64 GB version also while Nexus is available in 16 and 32 GB versions only.

If we compare video qualities of Nexus10 with 16:9 aspect ratio values than 4:3, aspect ratio values that of apple’s iPad4 the Nexus10 stands far superior in video also.

Nexus10 has front facing stereo speakers and display with a 1.9- mega pixel front camera for video chat and 5-mega pixel rear camera with facility of dual near field communication with micro HDMI port. Apples iPad4 has almost same configurations but the front camera with 1.2 mega pixel, Apple also has not provided NFC (near field communication)

Operating system of Nexus10 is entirely based on google support working on android 4.2 Jelly bean OS where as iPad4 works on ios6 and supports Siri to take advantage of Apple’s map applications. Nexus10 supports Wi-Fi but has no facility of 3G or 4G compared to Apple’s iPad4 having these supports.

So it can be big hit from Google. Let’s see how much popularity it gets.

Apple's Mini magic comes to India

Apple has started its sale of forth generation iPad with 16 GB space and iPad mini with a more storage space in India last month within a range of INR 22k to 28k. In addition, if the customer is willing he can go for forth generation iPad for 32k or with even more storage space for about 38k so a big choice for Indian consumer seems on the cards.

Although the products launched by Apple recently have been doing great in America  and other western countries but the success of these products has yet to be seen as Indian market is crowded with cheaper tablets covering almost half the local market despite being not so durable or user friendly. Products marketed by local service providers BSNL and manufacturers or suppliers like Micromax, HCL, Zinc or Lava are available within a range of 5k to 10k, which are getting good response from the low end users especially children and students who are the main users of such gadgets in India.

However, iPad mini has its own specialties, which may attract high end users –

• It weights only 300gm and is 7.2mm thick that is comparatively half the weight of iPad and almost three forth in thickness.
• Its screen is 7.9 inches wide, which is bigger than any other tablets available in India as of now. Its display resolution is also comparatively satisfactory at 1024X768 pixels.
• The best part is its battery backup that covers almost ten hours per recharge. iPad mini is A5 duel core
• This mini tablet has a 5mega pixel rear camera and 1.2 mega pixel front camera, good for video chatting
• iPad mini has IOS-6 the newest version of IOS operating system       

Calling function: Apple has continued their trend by not giving calling function in their iPad series. So this can be little drawback in it.
